How do I activate the Planning Center integration?

By visiting the Integrations section of the Admin Dashboard, you can quickly turn on the Planning Center Integration and invite users to the VOMO platform.

• Login to your admin Dashboard
• Go to the Integrations navigation link on the left side of the screen and select the Planning Center option
• Select the ‘CONNECT YOUR PLANNING CENTER ACCOUNT’ link. You will be prompted to login to your Planning Center account and then asked to Authorize VOMO to access your People data. Select 'Allow'.
• You should then be brought back to the VOMO Planning Center Integration page. You will be presented with a Setup Wizard. Follow the steps.
• Step 1
  • You may either choose to integrate all Planning Center Users at once or choose who to import
  • We advise selecting 'EVERYONE AT ONCE' as VOMO will eliminate any double entries.
• Step 2
  • You may choose to have invitations go out immediately after the integration is complete or you can set a day and time that you want the invitations to be sent via email. 

• Step 3
  • This option allows you to sync data between VOMO and Planning Center. If you select the 'YES, KEEP EVERYTHING SYNCED' option, it will allow VOMO and Planning Center to communicate any changes made by users and volunteers.
  • We advise selecting the 'YES, KEEP EVERYTHING SYNCED' option so as to keep all the volunteer information up to date across both platforms
• Upon hitting 'Save and Finish', the people in your selected lists will be invited via email to the VOMO platform as volunteers either Immediately or at the Date and Time you selected within the Wizard.
• Select the 'VIEW YOUR INTEGRATION STATUS' link
  
  • If you you chose to import everyone at once in Step 1 of the Setup Wizard, you should begin to see the majority of your Planning Center users in the 'Imported Users' section of the page. Those in the 'Users Not Being Imported' section should be reserved for any double entries or users already in the VOMO platform. Please note that it may take several minutes for all of your users to be imported.
  • If you chose the 'LET ME CHOOSE WHO TO IMPORT' option in step 1 of the Setup Wizard, you should see all of your Planning Center Users in the 'Users Not Being Imported' section. If you have Planning Center Lists that you would like to import, you may do so now. See the next section for instructions. You may also select the users you would like to import by clicking each name in the 'Users Not Being Imported' section and then selecting the green 'IMPORT # SELECTED USERS'. The selected users will be moved to the 'Pending Import' section. The import may take up to an hour depending on the number of people being imported.
• You can even select a VOMO Group to send your Planning Center List to so that you can import people right into VOMO Groups. For example, if you have a Planning Center List with your First Impressions people, you can import them to a First Impressions Group in VOMO.
  • Simply select the 'Lists' tab near the top of the 'Planning Center Integration Status' Dashboard. All of your Planning Center Lists should populate. Please note that it may take several minutes for the Lists to populate upon integration.
  • Find the List that you would like to add to a VOMO group. Click on the pencil icon under the 'Settings' column.
  • A pop up window should appear titled 'Group Settings'. Check the 'Import this group into VOMO' checkbox.
  • You may either import the group to an existing VOMO Group or you may create a New VOMO Group. After this, simply click 'SAVE'.
  • Please note that if you import Planning Center Lists, VOMO will create users for those who are not currently signed up and send them invites, and add current VOMO users to the group. There is no need to import the users before or after you import Planning Center Lists to VOMO Groups.
