Most Opportunities in Virtuous Volunteer can be accessed directly by its unique URL. If you wish to share Public or Unlisted Opportunities with people outside of your organization (or ones that have not accepted your invitation to join Virtuous Volunteer), you can send them the Opportunity's URL. To join the Opportunity, they simply have to log in or create their account first.
Note: For Private Opportunities, Volunteers must be logged in and a member of your organization for the URL to direct them to the Opportunity. Otherwise, they will be redirected to your organization Hub.
Privacy Settings (in the Advanced Options on Opportunity Creation Page) for each Opportunity:
- All Opportunities that have a "Public" status allow for any volunteers across the Virtuous Volunteer app to find and join.
- If you only want an Opportunity to be for the Volunteers invited to your account, you can change the status to "Private".
- If you want your Opportunity to only be for a specific group that you want to exclude from Volunteer on your Volunteer Hub, then change the status to "Unlisted". Unlisted Opportunities are accessible by direct URL only.
