Undeniably, Certifiably Verified
Tracking—and verifying—volunteer hours is no small task (it’s kind of why we’re here). And we know that having accurate volunteer history can impact everything from relationships with your donors to grant funding.
So why not make it a little easier?
We are thrilled to roll out a new update for verifying hours. Now, you can choose to manually verify volunteer time, or use volunteers’ check-in or check-out time to automatically verify hours! Whoohoo!
When creating or editing a Volunteer Opportunity, you’ll see the option to require verification, and then choose how you’d like to verify.
For opportunities that end at a certain time, you may choose to simply use the check-in time. If volunteers may come and go, as with an anytime Opportunity, then the option to use both check-in and check-out time will be most efficient.
BUT WAIT….THERE’S MORE!
(Because why stop here?)
In addition to these new verification settings, you’ll also see new global preferences for Opportunities. Now, you can choose a starting default for new Opportunities OR make hours verification mandatory for all new Opportunities, and set the verification method.
SO many clicks saved!
Volunteer programs are vital, but poring over data to verify hours shouldn’t get in the way of building lasting relationships with your supporters. Be sure to check it out today!
…And the Rest
This update also includes a number of other fixes, tweaks, minor modifications, and assorted nudges. Here’s a roundup of other items released over the last month:
- Some users reported an issue with volunteer addresses appearing blank in exports. While we appreciate pranks as much as anyone, the offending code has been dealt with. Our team has verified (it’s kind of a theme huh) that addresses will now export correctly.
- We heard from several users who were having trouble loading dashboards and other pages. We marshaled our forces to ensure that VOMO pages will load when they should. No pages will load when they shouldn’t—because that would be weird.
- We squashed a bug that prevented some users from selecting a default background check package. Just call us The Exterminators! (For digital bugs, that is. We don’t know a whole heck of a lot about ACTUAL bugs. Like, the creepy ones.)
And that's the list! Phew! As always, if you have any questions about these or other features, feel free to contact our support team.
