Not all projects in VOMO are the same. Anytime projects do not have specific dates. Learn how to create and manage Anytime projects in VOMO.
To create an Anytime project follow the first four steps on this article and when you get to the "Needs" section select the "Anytime" option. As the description says on that page,
Volunteers will have the ability to express interest in the project so that an organizer can follow up. Anytime projects hours are not automatically quantified or tracked, but can be from the Project Dashboard by the Project Owner(s).
Here are a few options (and Advanced Options) that can be customized on your Anytime project:
Customize End Date: Anytime projects by default will not have an end date, but you can specify one here. Simply check this option and in the box that appears, select the date you wish this project to end by. This will be helpful if you add donation items to this project.
Customize Needs: Anytime projects can have "roles" and "items" added to them. Simply check this option and then add "roles" and/or "items" using the drop down menu options. Specify the quantify of each as well. You can add as many roles and items as you wish. Remember that because this is an Anytime project, there will not be "time slots" associated with these roles and items. Only an end date if you specified on in the previous option.
Show Advanced Options: "Display number of participants" will show, on the project page where volunteers join, the number of people that have expressed interest in this project.
Publish Project: When you are finished setting up the details and dates, in the top right corner of the page press Save As Draft or Publish Project. "Save as draft" will save the project to your "Draft" list in the blue menu on the left and "Publish Project" will post this project on your Volunteer Hub.
* Even though these projects do not have specific times and dates, you can add hours by editing the them in the "Hours" column. You can also send updates and approve or deny volunteers as well.
