How do I add volunteers to past dates in a project?

Easily assign volunteers to past dates in a project when they forgot to join on time.

Assign Multiple Volunteers or Groups to Past Dates

VOMO allows you to add volunteers to past project dates when they forget to join and instead just showed up to serve. You can accomplish this through the Assign tool on that project's dashboard in your Admin Dashboard.

  1. Access your Admin Dashboard.
  2. Select Projects on the left navigation menu.
  3. Access the Project Dashboard by clicking the Project Name
  4. Click on the Assign tab at the top left hand corner of the box (next to Manage).
  5. Underneath Roles you will see the option to assign to past dates, "Want to add someone to a project in the past? Click here." Press that option and the past dates will appear in the list. (Remember, you can only assign volunteers to past dates that were added to the project BEFORE they began. You cannot add past dates to a project after that date has passed.)

  6. Follow the rest of the steps in this article to assign your volunteers to these past dates in your project.

Add a Volunteer to a Past Time Slot

Alternatively, you can quickly add a single volunteer to past time slot on the Manage tab on your project's dashboard. 

  1. Access your Admin Dashboard.
  2. Select Projects on the left navigation menu.
  3. Access the Project Dashboard by clicking the Project Name
  4. Click the "Manage" tab and filter the dates to find the past time slot you're looking for.
  5. Click on the time slot to see the detailed list of volunteers for that time.
  6. At the top of the date slideout you'll see a button that says "Add Volunteers/Items". Clicking this button will display a dialogue box for you to select the "Need" and the volunteer you want to add to this time slot. Also, this will allow you to add someone to a Group Reservation as well.
