What is my Invitation Code and Link that I can use to invite new volunteers?

There are many different ways for volunteers to create their VOMO Profiles to begin joining your Opportunities. In addition to sending email invites, there are two additional methods you can use when you launch your new VOMO Hub. In this article we'll teach you how to locate and begin using your organization's Invitation Code and Invitation Link.

Set Up your Invitation Code and Link

Ok, now let's get back to learning more about the Invitation Code and Link. In the steps below, you will first learn how each is used by the volunteer. This is a key step before you begin creating a strategy to use your Invitation Code and Link. After an explanation is given on how they are used, then you will learn where to locate them in your Admin Dashboard and how you set them up. Let's dive in!

Invitation Code

This code makes it very easy for a new volunteer to quickly create their VOMO Profile after downloading the VOMO App. After they download and open the app, the volunteer will be asked to Login or Join Your Organization. Clicking the Join Your Organization option will prompt them to type in an Invitation Code. By giving them your organization's Code they will quickly be allowed to create a profile right there on the VOMO App. It makes the registration process very quick and easy.

Update Your Organization's Invitation Code

To locate and update your organization's Invitation Code, do the following:

1. Login at vomo.org
2. Navigate to your Admin Dashboard
3. Click Settings in the menu on the left side of the page.
4. Scroll down until you see Invitation Code. This is the code volunteers can use to create their profile straight from the VOMO App as described above. 

Invitation Link

This code is also used for your org's Invitation Link. This link is technically a custom URL address where Volunteers will go to register a new user profile. You can use this link in a variety of creative ways such as: Pasting it in your weekly/monthly email newsletters, putting it on your website's "Volunteer" or "Serve" pages, or simply dropping it anywhere else online (like Facebook pages) where you want to capture new volunteers from.

Your Invitation Link is designed to help funnel new potential volunteers from anywhere online to your VOMO Hub so they can get connected and begin serving. Once you set up this link (see the instructions below), all you have to do after that is promote it! Letting everyone know you want them to serve with you!

Locate and Set Up Your Invitation Link:

1. Refer to the steps above for setting up your Invitation Code if you haven't done so already.
2. Then, find the QR Code feature in the Tools section and click the Invitation Link radio button. The URL for your Invitation Link is below that:

Using our fake invitation code, " SAMPLECODE ", our new Invitation Link would be: app.vomo.org/invite/org/SAMPLECODE

Final Step

Now that your organization has an Invitation Link, go paste this onto your website, drop into the bottom of a weekly or monthly email newsletter, promote it on your social media pages and many other ways.
